Technical features of the MEP motorization systems
The MEP systems are motorizations that are essentially made for automatic revolving doors and gates.
Their design has been studied in such a way that an extensive functioning is possible, with no process limit per hour and in rather tough operating conditions, such as:
- Blocking while operating
- Reverse effort to the motion direction
- Repeated course reversal
- Substantial effort on the closing locking
The motorization of the “MEP 3 – MEP 5 – MEP 7” type is made of a bevel gear reducer and of low-voltage engine with integrated electronics.
The connecting rod/bolt system that links the MEP to the frame allows for the highest locking while closing and doesn’t require another blocking backup.
The bevel gear reducer ensures a good reversibility for a minimal effort.
A 150 x 150 x 500 steel case protects every element as well as the fastening on the frame or on the pillars.
The functioning of the gear motor ensures a gentle start and stop with a variable speed driven by the engine electronics. At the end of the closing, the stopping and the locking allow for a good support of the panels that does not require a doorstop.
During the operation, the strength as well as the speed induced by the motorization can be adjusted both during the opening and during the closing thanks to the electronics integrated in the engine.
The automation is ensured by the electronic circuits of the “MEC2 or MEC3” types, on which various functions can be programmed.
Thanks to their automatic unlocking due to lack of tension, emergency stop or safety procedure, the MEP operations are essentially made for the high-capacity parking lots of the apartment, tertiary or public buildings, and are specially studied for extensive use.
Type of motorization
- MEP 3 : Motor box fixed directly to the leaf
- MEP 5 : Motor box fixed to the frame or to the masonry
- MEP 7 : Specially designed for carriage doors or accordion doors with 4 panels, Motor housing fixed behind the lintel.
Possibility on all models to synchronize the panels for an interlocking by a central nut (kind of carriage door).
